The geographic nature of the property dictates a lot about overall design and placement. Whether the home has a set location or we are finding the perfect placement, we are looking for ways to work with the environment, not against it. Slope, views, and taking advantage of natural light are just a few of the details that we pay attention to when understanding how best to craft a plan that blends the indoors with the outside environment.
Architecture
Clean lines, no frills, simple, interesting, contemporary, inviting, art. These are all words that describe what you see from the outside of an Arthouse Home. We believe less is more as long as it is well placed and thoughtful, artistic and inviting. It is clear to see that it is well crafted after just one glance.
Interior Design
Interior design is an important aspect of a complete home. It may be flexible in to whom it pays homage. Warm, clean Scandinavian style may give way to a lake house feel or a nod to a Spanish heritage. We love incorporating reclaimed materials and crafting handmade components, as well as using new materials in unique ways. Subtle details in style and design may change but the mission stays the same; to craft warm, livable spaces with character and flow.
Space
Simple and clean design lends itself to an efficient, user friendly space. Our goals are to simplify, not complicate spaces. Spacial layout is based on maximizing natural light and flow. We want the user to feel that each space flows freely from one to the next with few distractions. Our spaces are designed how you use them and how you move through them.
Efficiency
Efficiency is more than just using less energy. It is integrating spaces in a way that makes the overall home simple and easy to maintain. Highly efficient mechanicals along with a well insulated envelope is just the beginning to our commitment to efficiency and comfort. We look to stay flexible in how best to use energy, including renewable energy to fuel and heat the home, no matter the location.
